UX / Web Graphic Designer

One of the UK’s leading Business Intelligence Solutions are looking to expand the capacity and capabilities of their in-house specialist product development team. 
They are looking for a user experience guru who will work with the Development Team to help us to design and develop the next generation of world leading web and mobile platform BI products. It is expected that the selected candidate will be able to report and advise on new and emerging techniques and technologies – acquiring knowledge and demonstrating ideas as appropriate.
The full time role will suit a creative individual with an interest in innovation and new technologies and a desire to apply their skills to create usable, real-world software products.  The successful candidate will be involved in the creation of our next generation of Active Dashboards. This position will be based at their Solihull office.

Essential Experience:

  • 4+ year’s work experience as UX designer or Interaction designer 
  • A demonstrable track record (including a portfolio) of high quality creative and usable web application design and websites interfaces
  • An ability to deliver engaging UI experiences within defined project timescales
  • A clear understanding of UX/UI Methodologies
  • Experience in understanding and delivering end-user and business requirements
  • Developing interaction models and conceptual frameworks
  • Experience of using flow diagrams, wire framing tools, prototyping
  • Experience of presenting proposed solutions
  • A solid working knowledge of the following:
    • HTML 5
    • CSS
    • HTML/XHTML
    • JQuery
    • JavaScript
    • Web applications
    • Mobile devices and applications

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in creation of web content

·         Understanding of BI tools

·         Basic knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics 

Education

You must possess a degree (minimum 2.1) in a computer-related discipline as well as solid experience of working in a commercial software development environment.
